The Great Dairy Deception

 

In this day and age of rampant public deception by government and its leaders, it should come as no surprise that information about our food industry may not be accurate.

According to California Dairy Council website:

The calcium in milk is easily absorbed and used in the body, which is why milk and milk products are reliable as well as economical sources of calcium.

A diet rich in protein and vitamin D contributes to bone health. Due to their high protein, vitamin D, and calcium content, dairy foods are a good choice for maintaining strong bones.

A diet rich in fruit, vegetables and low‑fat dairy foods, with reduced saturated fat, is as effective as some medications in reducing blood pressure in people with increased blood pressure. It has also been shown to reduce risk of cardiovascular disease and type‑2 diabetes.

Deception #1 – Milk and dairy products DO NOT HAVE ANY VITAMIN D. It is added as a supplement.

Deception #2 – A study in Sweden found that the women who drank the most milk had greater degrees of osteoporosis than non-milk drinkers.

Deception #3 – Another Swedish study demonstrated that milk drinkers had more illnesses of all types compared to non-milk drinkers, and that the severity of the illnesses was directly linked glass by glass to how much they consumed.

Deception #4 – Dairy consumption has been linked to juvenile and adult onset diabetes. 

Deception #5 – Dairy consumption has been linked to developing breast cancer, cystic breasts, and ovarian fibroids.

Deception #6 – Dairy consumption has been linked to obesity. 

Why Are We Being Misled?

You have to realize that the dairy industry in this country and in Europe is huge and have the wherewithal for lobbyists. In 2017, production from 40,000-plus dairy farms in the US generated over $38 billion.  

Believe it or not, our government actually subsidizes the dairy industry (with our tax dollars) when they don’t sell enough milk. This is the same government that is using our hard-earned tax dollars to pay for health care.  Doesn’t that seem rather conflicted? 

Humans are not Genetically Designed to Drink Milk

We were genetically designed 300,000 years ago, and we haven’t changed since then. Early humans did not drink milk. It was impossible to obtain. They couldn’t just walk up to a wild animal and milk it. 

Humans did not begin to consume dairy products until the advent of the agricultural revolution about 7,000 years ago when we learned how to domesticate cattle,sheep and goats so they would stand still and allow themselves to be milked.

Milk is Designed to Grow Cattle, Sheep and Goats but NOT Humans

Milk, and all products derived from milk, are loaded with proteins, growth factors and hormones to develop an infant animal into a 2,000 pound cow, a goat or a sheep in the space of two years.  So, what do you suppose all those growth factors and hormones will do to us? That’s right — they make us grow, and make tumors grow, not to mention generating insulin resistance, diabetes and producing inflammation in our bodies resulting in many other illnesses.

Improve Your Health Immediately. Stop Eating Dairy Products!

Many of my patients will ask me, “So where do I get my calcium and Vitamin D?”  

Calcium is readily available in many vegetables (that are much healthier) such as kale, spinach, rhubarb and other dark leafy greens. Vitamin D is only naturally available in our skin from UVB light exposure from the sun. Mother Nature has it all covered. But unfortunately, we like to protect our skin from sun damage and aging with sun block.  Therefore, the only other reasonable option is to take a Vitamin D3 supplement, available in capsule form, every day. The most common dose is 5,000 IU per day. Some people need more.

It is not that hard to stop consuming dairy. Just think of it as doing something good for your body and for the environment.

Be smart. Don’t be misled by the agricultural industry to maintain another behemoth, unneeded industry that is not only wasting our hard-earned money but is also making us sick.

Don’t be misled like a herd of cattle.
